In practice, e-fulfilment has little operational effect, as the IT systems will manage the flow of orders, blending the flows from all sources, allocating stock, preparing picking instructions, printing packing notes & invoices etc, in response to pre-set rules.

Good service comes through the accurate and timely processing of orders, good stock availability, correct invoicing, proper packaging and reliable delivery.
